Sweet maple, spicy pumpkin and cinnamon–these are some of the best characteristics of the fall season. The other day I thought I’d relax with a cozy, warm cup of coffee, but I was really craving some fall flavors. I decided to add a splash of this and that to my coffee. My experiment ended up being one of the best indulgences I’ve ever had, and what was even better was the fact that it was healthy! Try it out and let me know what you think!
Maple Pumpkin Spice Latte
12 oz freshly brewed hot coffee
1/2-1tsp butter or coconut oil (this is the economical one I use)
1/2 scoop collagen powder
1 doonk or less to taste pure organic stevia powder (this is the economical one I use)
1/8 tsp maple syrup (approx 2 calories 1 carb)
1/8 tsp pumpkin pie spice
1 tsp pumpkin puree (not pumpkin pie filling) (less than 1 carb)
1 tsp whey protein isolate
pinch himalayan sea salt
Place all ingredients in large blender (don’t use small as steam and pressure will build up quickly). Blend for approximately 10-15 seconds. Pour this creamy, frothy deliciousness into your favorite cup and sprinkle a little pumpkin spice on top.
