This is a guest post from our sweet contributor, Ana, from The Lost Apron:
Adding foam cups to your sports bra is a simple way keep you modest.
If your sports bra came with foam cups: They may get worn out easily. After a while they begin to separate and fall apart. Then you can’t even find the pieces in the wash, and you start wearing the bra without them. You can replace them.
I purchased these cups from Wawak. They come in different shapes and cup sizes. They also come in black, beige, and white. The edges are stitched together so they won’t come apart. You can also find foam cups at Jo-Ann’s andAmazon.com.
Simply insert the cup into the opening from the inside.
Now it looks like new.
If your sports bra did not come with cups: They can be easily added.
Simply make a snip in the lining of the sports bra at both sides. Make sure to only cut the lining (this is the inside layer). Then you can insert a molded bra cup into each slit.
If you don’t want to buy the molded cups, you can find molded cups in items you already have. Look in other swim tops or workout bras. You can look for a slit and see the foam cup inside. You can interchange the ones you have already.
Now you can tackle running that race!
My name is Ana Sullivan. I began my blog, The Lost Apron, because people would ask me for advice on parenting. My only qualifications for giving advice is that I have been there and I am proud of who my children have become. I have a daughter in college, a son and another daughter that are college graduates who are working and living on their own. I have been married for almost 30 years to a dream of a husband.
I have been a working mom, a part-time-work-at-home mom, and a stay-at-home mom. Although I have prefered being the SAHM, I try to write my blog in a way that would encourage all moms to be better moms. I hope to be the mentor mom to the young mom and the friend to the older moms and grandmothers. You can visit me over at Pinterest and Facebook.
