It’s a brand new year, and that means it’s a great time to get organized in the home and get on a cleaning schedule if you don’t already have one. How good the Lord is to give us a brand new year, and each new day is a gift from Him. We should recognize this and give Him thanks for this every new day.
If you want an easy way to manage and keep track of your home duties, there’s a wonderful planner available that comes ready-made with all your cleaning tasks already made up for you. There is no sitting down to figure out what to do each day, but you just print off your chore list (or use an app), and then you check things off as you finish them. It’s quite gratifying! There are daily chores that remain the same every day, as well as new chores to do every day. “Spring cleaning” tasks are spread out throughout the year, so you don’t need to spend extra time cleaning in the Spring (or Autumn). Also, you can always cross of a chore if it doesn’t apply to you.
If you’ve never heard of this helpful planner before, this is the Motivated Moms planner, which is available in either printable form, or as an app for your favorite device. I have used these planners for years. They are great for getting straight into your home duties when you haven’t a clue where to begin, and they’re also great for using year-round to keep on task! There are many different options of planners, including a page per day planner, a weekly page, and planners that include Bible reading plans as well. The choice is yours!
