This time of year seems to be the busiest for us. It seems like we are being pulled in so many directions. Once school starts we have school work, field trips, library trips, school planning, homeschool group commitments, club meetings, and extracurricular activities.
Fall brings fall festivals, planning and shopping for the holidays, Christmas programs, and birthdays (three of our children have birthdays from October to December). With all of this busyness comes a packed schedule, stress, anxiety, and fatigue.
One thing we can count on is God is there with us in each moment. If we have given Him our lives, He will guide days. I am so thankful He is there at every moment. Not only do I pray He will help us be successful at all of these activities, but I also pray He will help us weed out any activity that is not beneficial for us or His glory. I want to use our time wisely and for His benefit.
Even though I don’t look forward to running to all these activities, I rejoice in this busy time of year. I rejoice in the opportunities they bring to serve others, touch lives, shine His light, express my gratitude and celebrate His presence in my life. Even though I try to serve, praise, and thank Him every day, I enjoy this time of year to focus on Him even more.
