7 Ways to Take Better Care of Yourself – Christian Homemaking

Uncategorized

Have you been feeling like you need to take better care of yourself?

So many times it is easy to put ourselves on the back burner with all that we have to do.

But I encourage you to take the time to take care of yourself. It’s like they say “You can’t give what you don’t have.”

So instead of burning out or being in survival mode with your health, you will definitely want to care for yourself so that you can take care of others!

Here are a few tips to help you:

  1. Get enough sleep. I have heard that the recommended amount of sleep is 7 hours so try to aim for that. The body needs those hours to rest and replenish.

2. Drink more water and carry around a bottle with you.

3. Take your vitamins and don’t forget other helpful supplements like turmeric, fish oil, etc.

4. Eat fruits and vegetables everyday. If you can eat a salad once or twice a day it will help as well.  Make sure you are eating enough protein too!

5. Cut our sugar, corn syrup, and other similar sugars along with white flour which are hard on your body and health. They don’t add any nutrients to our health, but can actually make you sick or sicker.

6. Exercise every day–even if you are able to walk briskly for 30 minutes it will do your body good.

7. Eat whole foods and not processed foods.

8. Do something you love every day.

9. Pray and ask God for wisdom.

10. Read your Bible and grow closer to Him!
