My Top 5 Favorite Podcasts for Homemakers – Christian Homemaking

Uncategorized

Today our sweet contributor, Rebekah, is sharing with us:

If you have been following along with my personal blog for any length of time, you know how much I absolutely love podcasts! I have previously shared over there my “Top 10 Favorite Podcasts for Christian Moms” and my “Top 10 Favorite Podcasts for Christian Women“. Today, I thought I would share with you some of my favorite podcasts for homemakers!

First off – why I love podcasts! Podcasts are great because you can carry them with you wherever you go, listen to them while doing laundry or making dinner, listen to them while you’re out and about, or however and whenever you want to! You can be educated, inspired, encouraged, convicted, challenged, and just overall edified and built up for life simply by listening to a great Christian podcast.

So, without further ado, here are some really helpful ones for all you homemakers!

The Homemaking Foundations Podcast with Jami Balmet

This is one of my favorite podcasts. Jami (who has been a guest on my own podcast!) has become such a great friend and kindred spirit for me, and I am always inspired by both the truly theological as well as the deeply practical nature of her podcast. She covers topics ranging from how to grind and use your own grain, how to meal plan, how to cultivate good evening and morning routines, and how to remain true to your ultimate first priorities. She has also covered topics such as how to be in the Word as a busy wife and mom, how to practice the spiritual disciplines in your own life, the importance of church attendance, how to find time to read as a busy mom, how the Word of God applies to marriage, motherhood, and homemaking, and much more! I even had the honor of being a guest on her podcast to discuss my book Lies Moms Believe (And How the Gospel Refutes Them). I think you’ll really enjoy Homemaking Foundations!

The Titus 2 Minute

If you enjoy the Homemaking Foundations podcast, you will love Jami’s newer podcast, The Titus 2 Minute. This podcast is shorter, with each episode being only about 15-20 minutes long. On this show she regularly interviews other Titus 2 women to glean their wisdom on everything from spending quality time with your children to how to tend to your home while also dealing with morning sickness, and even how to deal with paper clutter. It is a super practical, helpful podcast!

Cultivating the Lovely with MacKenzie Monroe

MacKenzie is a homeschooling mom of 4 who is all about helping her listeners to cultivate loveliness in and through their homes, their home schools, and their families in general. She’s no stranger to chaos and busyness, but in the midst of it all, she still prioritizes the importance of infusing life and beauty into the atmosphere of her home for her the sake of her family. This podcast is pretty much strictly interview-style and any topic pertaining to homemaking, womanhood, motherhood, homeschooling, and more is covered. It is sure to become a favorite of yours!

At Home with Sally and Friends -Sally Clarkson and Kristen Kill

This was the first podcast I ever listened to and is the one I am sure to never miss week to week as new episodes release. Sally is my mothering hero, and I often say on my own podcast how I would not be the mom I am were it not for the inspiration and wisdom of Sally Clarkson. This show is such a delight to listen to and always makes the listener come away feeling more refreshed, restful, inspired, excited, and invigorated for her work and calling as a wife, mom, and homemaker. Sally has released episode series going through her books Own Your Life, The LifeGiving Home, and The LifeGiving Table, and will soon be starting a new series with her husband, Clay, on their new book, The LifeGiving Parent, which releases May 1st. Be sure to listen to At Home with Sally. You won’t regret it!

Simply Joyful with Kristi Clover

Kristi is such a joy! She has an infectious sweetness and joy about her that is just a blessing to be around! Her podcast is so uplifting and inspiring as she interviews guests on all topics ranging from how to make decluttering work for you to how to cultivate rest into your busy life, how to make time to be in the Word, how to inspire our children in the ways of God, and much more. The Simply Joyful Podcast is, as are the others I shared, a deeply theological and practical show.

Well, there you have it! Some of my favorite podcasts to recommend to homemakers who are looking for some wisdom and encouragement for their daily walk. And now, I’d love to hear from you:
