how to save money on fruits and vegetables

If you are looking to save some money on a health diet you know that eating fruits and vegetables daily is recommended. The last that I read is that 50% of it should be on your plate!

But we all know that shopping for them can get expensive.

So if you are looking to save some money on fruits and vegetables here is a quick list to help you:

  1. Shop Aldi .
  2. Grow your own.
  3. Shop in season.
  4. Shop Farmer’s Markets (especially before closing to get discounts).
  5. Try canning and freezing.
  6. Don’t waste- eat it all or freeze for later (even small bits can be saved for soup).
  7. Look in the discount section.
  8. Join a CSA.
  9. Some stores have coupons
  10. Check into imperfect produce which might be in a markdown bin or this wonderful place  and this one that delivers it to you.
  11. Buy frozen when they go on sale.

Do you have any tips?

Please share them below!

My tip is, buy canned when you truly can’t afford anything else. It’s better than none💐
God bless
