Heirlooms of Grace

by Jennifer on February 21, 2012 in Faithfulness, Legacy, Quotes, Unity Between Generations

Both of these precious heirlooms were given to me by friends.

The tea cup is from a lady {by the name of Aunt Hazel}
who lived till she was 106 years of age.
She was a woman of wisdom and grace who loved the Lord.
I was blessed to have known her.

The doily was handmade by my dear friend Amber…
who inspires me continually as she faithfully
serves her family and friends with joy…
putting the needs of others before her own.
Isn’t the doily exquisite?
It’s the perfect accessory for afternoon tea!!

I’m thankful for these heirlooms… that I hope {Lord willing}
to pass down to future generations…

But most importantly
I’m thankful for these beautiful godly women…
who have and continue to make an indelible
impression on me and many others.
They have and are leaving legacies behind that
are far reaching and magnificent in depth…
and isn’t that a beautiful thing?! ♥

Jennifer

Having just turned 19, Jen finds great joy in serving her family from home. She firmly believes that the home is a beautiful canvas for biblical hospitality, servanthood and discipleship. All aspects of homemaking are on her list of interests including gourmet cooking, baking, calligraphy, sewing and embroidery. She is also inspired by photography, music, theology and biblical womanhood. Miss Jen blogs at Blessed Femina, which she founded in the fall of 2008 to document her blessed life as a daughter/homemaker-in- training and to encourage other women in Biblical femininity. Happily residing in sunny northern California with her parents, it is her greatest desire to live a life depicted in I Corinthians 10:31: "So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God."

As soon as I saw the word heirloom and a picture of a teacup on Raising Homemaker’s FB page–I knew you had to be the one who wrote this lovely piece, Jennifer!! Beautiful as always:)
