Homemaking Link-Up – PLUS Win a FREE Moby Wrap!

by Kelly on June 15, 2011 in Giveaways

[The link-up is at the end of the article ↓]

I recently received one of the most remarkable “mommy helps” that exists: The Moby Wrap. Perhaps you are aware of the importance of holding your babies close and the developmental advantages to that, but you may not be aware how easy The Moby Wrap makes it!

This wrap is unique in that the fabric is just stretchy enough to allow you to position your baby properly after you have tied the wrap onto your body, but not too stretchy–baby is secure and comfortable inside the wrap.

I have so enjoyed snuggling with my newborn while freeing my hands to do other things!

I thought it might be complicated to figure out but I was wrong. The wrap is easy and quick and unlike some carriers I’ve used in the past, it doesn’t hurt my back or feel like baby is falling.  Again, the special fabric prevents that.

Wraps enable mommies to shop, clean the house, take a walk or other activities with free hands AND nurtures the bond between her and her baby. You can even nurse your baby with The Moby Wrap!

But this story gets better…one of you lucky mammas is going to win a FREE Moby wrap (color: natural), compliments of Courtney at Formative Foundations!

To enter this fantastic giveaway…

  • Leave a comment here telling us something about your baby (or the one you hope to have, or the one you’re hoping to win the wrap for!)

Extra Entries:

For each thing you do, enter a new comment telling me so your name will appear that many times at random.org from where the winner will be drawn.

The giveaway will end Monday, June 20th at noon, and the winner announced by Tuesday night. Check out Formative Foundations and see all the really cool stuff for moms!

I’m 20 years old, and my career that I’ve chosen is to be a homemaker for my family now, and for my future family. I’ve started a hope chest for when I get married, and have children. I have baby clothes, and dishes, and family heirlooms in it. I would love to have one of these waiting for me when I get the chance to be a mommy. But, there are women now that need to too. But, I thought I’d toss my chance in here too. 😉

Were going to be having baby number 4 in the beginning of september, possibly end of august, andshe will be 5 years younger than our youngest. I had the wrap previously and donated it when it seemed apparent that we weren’t to be blessed with another baby….it was truly a life saver and I desperately want another one this time around, especiallly since shell be coming during the busiest time of year for us!

I am hoping to with this for my 2nd child who my husband and I are trying to conceive. I didn’t have the money for a nice carrier with our first child and gave up right away because I couldn’t stand the one I was trying to use.

I am expecting our eighth baby in August! I have so many baby carriers that kill my back. Our seventh baby loves his ergo, and we use it every day. He still naps in the ergo with a sibling. I have been eyeing the moby for awhile now. I love it!!

Julie June 17, 2011

I would use this for my 3 month old. I think he would love it, too!

Julie June 17, 2011

I have a very sweet baby boy (almost 2 months old) who was born a little early and spent time in the NICU and is still on oxygen. He does not like to be put down…and I can’t bear to put him down. But my three other children have needs too! Imagine that! This would be super helpful for our whole family.

Sarah June 18, 2011

I have a friend who could use this. She was convinced she was done with babies, until another friend lost her 2 month old last fall, and God changed her heart. I can’t wait to see her new addition!

Jocelyn June 18, 2011

I’m due to have a baby in a few months, after losing one 2 years ago. Despite the possibility of complications in this pregnancy, I have no choice but to be hopeful and prepare for my precious little one. I’m looking forward to using a moby to keep my NB close to my heart. Thnx!

This looks like a perfect carrier for my 6 month old granddaughter that I care for every weekday from 8 – 6. I also keep her 5 year old big sister and would have my hands freed up to tie shoes and fix apple juice. I made my own carrier ‘back in the day’ when their dad was my firstborn, but alas, I no longer have the pattern.

Suanna June 19, 2011

This may be just what I need for my newborn. I’m sure hat 5, ages 7 and down will have its own special set of challenges.

Rachel June 19, 2011

I just tried the Moby (borrowed it) and our daughter fell right to sleep–she loved it (and it doesn’t hurt my back!)

Rachel June 19, 2011

Oh I would love this! I have an older baby who is still convinced that only being close to mommy makes him really happy! He is such a sweetheart, and the youngest of four. I am so thankful for him and would love something to carry him with.

kharking June 20, 2011

I have a dark brown Moby that we used for our first and will again for the next one due in September. Such a comfy way to snuggle the baby close and have hands free for toddler or anything else that needs to be done. I would love to be able to give this one to a dear friend who is having her first baby in October.

anna June 20, 2011

I’m currently pregnant with a baby boy which will be our third child. I’d love to win this moby wrap, I’ve only heard great things about them. Thanks for the chance to win!

Emily Upchurch June 21, 2011

Something about my baby? She’s eleven weeks old and she LOVES her MobyWrap! We use it constantly, at home, church, the grocery store…. We actually have hooked at least two ladies at church on them as well. This is baby no. 1, by the way.
Obviously I already have one, but my sister-in-law (expecting my first nephew in August!) and my sister (who just got married…no baby yet, but she’s already an experienced babywearer with siblings) both want one and I’d love to win one for one of them.

Emily Upchurch June 21, 2011

Just ‘liked’ them!

Stacy June 25, 2011

I am getting ready to have our 8th baby in October and I am 40. I would love to have something to keep the baby close and not have my back hurt.
