I am so thrilled that RaisingHomemakers.com is here.

On behalf of all the contributors of RaisingHomemakers.com, Welcome! We are so excited about coming together to learn, grow, encourage, teach, and journey together on the path of raising homemakers to the glory of God.  To fully understand the purpose of Raising Homemakers, read The Invisible Hope Chest by RH contributor Breezy Brookshire…here is an excerpt:

“As young women not yet married, we have the responsibility to become as well-rounded and useful as we can be.  Right now you probably don’t have the full care of running the home—this is an excellent opportunity to prepare yourself for the rest of your life. The more helpful skills we acquire, the more useful, the more of a blessing we will be to our future husbands and families.”

We are the women...the mothers who will be teaching and training our daughters in how to fill their invisible hope chests.

To read more about how Raising Homemakers got started, click here.

So, who are the women who will be serving as contributors?

  • Older, wiser, Titus 2 women with many children, some grown
  • Younger women with little ones all about
  • Young married women with no children (yet!) and…
  • Stay-at-home daughters

We all have different backgrounds and different life circumstances, but we all share a deep desire to teach and train our sweet daughters in the homemaking arts in the hope that they will one day be “masters” at managing their homes. Some of us are still learning.

If you want to journey with us, roll up your sleeves, splash some water on your face, and get ready to be intentional! It takes work, time, and intentionality to raise up homemakers for the glory of God! It takes work, time, and intentionality to train yourself in homemaking if you were never taught! We’re in this together, friends, so let’s get going!

To help facilitate the journey, we have some fun and meaningful plans in store.

One of things you can look forward to is a weekly link-up of a Polished Cornerstones project.  Polished Cornerstones is a study for daughters on the path to womanhood, and it is filled with wonderful projects for all age-groups (so no matter what season you or your daughter is in, it fits!).  We will begin these link-ups on Wednesday, June 30th (so you have time to get the book!).

We also have some fun giveaways for you as a kick-off to Raising Homemakers!

Today’s Featured Giveaway bundle is…

A copy of Polished Cornerstones!

I have been learning so much over the last couple of years about being a better homemaker myself. I have also been passing these skills onto my 9 yr old daughter, but could use lots of encouragement in both of these areas. I’ve had fun learning from other people who know more in a certain area then I do. Thanks for starting this site to encourage and help me grow as a homemaker and as I raise a homemaker.

I just found your website. I am trusting in our Lord Jesus Christ to guide me as I raise my children. I have no older Christian women in my family to guide me, so when God brings women and knowledge into my life, it means so much to me. With His mercy and grace, I pray He will raise up a new generation of believers in my home. Thank you so much for your encouraging and inspiring words!
