The Baby Conference {Audio Giveaway!}

by Emily Rose Brookshire on September 27, 2010 in Announcements, Giveaways, Industry, Inspiration in Child Rearing, Nurture

Baby Toes

Birth, biomedical ethics, doing laundry with a large family, ending abortion in America, the blessing of life, the hopeful theology of miscarriage, adoption, naming babies, home schedules . . .

The above subjects - and MORE - were discussed at The Baby Conference!

Although we were unable to attend “The Baby Conference: A History Family Summit on the Triumph of Life Over the Culture of Death“, put on by Vision Forum this past July, we were able to listen to the recorded audio from the conference.

There is approximately 36 hours of audio (including panels, discussions, and interviews!) from the conference. A sampling of just a few of the titles:

.

  • Ladies’ Symposium on Preserving and Promoting the Highest Ideals of Christian MotherhoodBeall Phillips (Moderator) Jennie Chancey, Carmon Friedrich, Denise Sproul
  • How the Local Church Builds a Thriving Culture of LifeScott Brown
  • Symposium on Biomedical Ethics for BirthDoug Phillips (Moderator), Geoff Botkin, Dan Becker, Dr. Ed Payne
  • Child Training: A Biblical TemplateKevin Swanson
  • The Hopeful Theology of MiscarriageDoug Phillips

.

Breezy and I listened to the audio while working on our latest projects (which will be announced soon), and were greatly encouraged by the application of strong, biblical worldview to all of life. We were also inspired by listening to mothers – who have had a great deal of experience – share about managing the logistics of their homes.

And we want to share the audio from The Baby Conference with you . . .

.

Children are such a blessing to me – they remind me of my purpose everyday and even though some days are rough – I wouldn’t trade anything for the life I have and their smiling faces every morning.
Thanks for a great giveaway.
Blessings,
Michelle

Holding my precious new daughter right now- 3 weeks old today! She’s my 3rd child… 2nd daughter. My favorite thing about babies is when I nurse my newborns and they look up and stare into my eyes so trusting- I’m their whole world at first and it’s such a great honor and responsibility it makes me teary eyed!
Oh and baby feet! So teeny and sweet!

Mama Mirage September 28, 2010

Shared it on my facebook.

This is all very interesting! These in-depth topics need to be discussed from a Biblical stand point. I think the one that that sticks out to me most is the topic of miscarriage. I lost a baby (would’ve been our 4th child) in the spring this year. And wow! Although its been almost 6 months since our loss, it is still a heartfelt issue. I still wonder sometimes about what God’s purpose is with that particular experience.
