“Remind me of this with every decision
Generations will reap what I sow
I can pass on a curse or a blessing
To those I will never know”

-Sara Groves

Do you ever think about the the impact you have on future generations?

I have been thinking quite a bit lately about how the decisions I’m making today with my children will affect my children’s children, their children, and so on. Those thoughts are sobering and humbling.

With these thoughts in mind I turned to my friend Mrs. Robin Brookshire, a wise Titus 2 woman, for her thoughts on raising generations…

Again, thinking about the importance of raising generations, I asked the very talented Erin of The Vintage Pearl if she would create a necklace for me (and for all of you) that would be a reminder of our great calling.  She agreed.  We came up with this beautiful ‘Raising Generations’ necklace:

raisng generations

Cindy July 26, 2010

I would love to have this necklace. I am currently helping to raise my grandson. My daughter was a teen mother, and the baby is almost 2. This is one of the hardest things I have ever done. Much harder that working a full time job, while raising 3 daughters born in one calendar year and having a police officer husband who worked third shift. I think often of what I should be teaching my grandson. Wonderful article.

Bonni July 26, 2010

I’m so excited to have found your site recently. I have shared it with many friends. I think the necklace is a great way that we can share about the necklace, its meaning, and your site. Thanks for the opportunity for someone to win it. Blessings, Nancy Mosley
